Xuan Wu, Monotonicity and Concentration in directed polymers
Abstract: Directed polymers are a classical model in statistical mechanics, introduced in 1985. It provides a useful perspective to study the KPZ equation. In this talk, we will introduce this model and discuss its relation to the KPZ equation. Meanwhile, we will develop some of its useful probabilistic features.
