Lambda length was introduced by R. Penner in the study of the decorated Teichmuller space. I will talk about how to construct the lambda length on the hyperbolic space and then talk about the cluster exchange relation holds in this space. Additionally, I will talk about this also holds on the surface with orbifolds.
