Developing and analyzing meaningful work experiences for students with disabilities in the community is no easy feat. This workshop will focus on strategies for identifying job sites, connecting with businesses, evaluating the appropriateness of a potential worksite, and negotiating work experiences with employers. You’ll leave this workshop with practical strategies on how to analyze different job types, tasks, and demands within a targeted job site, along with a process for using this information to propose new and creative job assignments that match student skills with the needs of the business. Experienced transition staff and those new to the field alike will leave the workshop more confident in their job development and analysis skills.
