In this talk we will review recent work performed by my group and collaborators that allowed us to obtain better a understanding of the neutron star equation of state and neutron star properties by use of multi-messenger observations of neutron stars. We will also recent and current efforts of modeling binary neutron stars that will help enable constraints on the unknown finite temperature nuclear equation of state by use of third generation gravitational wave observatories.
