Title: The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting: An International and Intergenerational Science Dialogue
Abstract: Every year, an international conference is held in Lindau that brings together ~600 young scientists (undergrads, grads, and postdocs) from around the world to meet with Nobel Laureates and engage in an international and intergenerational science dialogue. Each Lindau meeting cycles through the themes of chemistry, medicine, physics, and an interdisciplinarity. The 69th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting took place last summer, which focused on physics, with key topics on laser physics, gravitational waves, dark matter, and cosmology. I will talk about my experience at the meeting and my discussions with Nobel Laureates and fellow young scientists on the latest science developments and how science and scientists can better impact society.
