- Program in Medieval Studies
Join us for an informal and illuminating discussion of three important books published in the past year by our faculty affiliates Claudia Brosseder, Eric Calderwood, and David Cooper. These books -- Inka Bird Idiom: Amazonian Feathers in The Andes * On Earth and in Poems: The Many Lives of Al-Andalus * The Czech Manuscripts: Forgery, Translation, and National Myth -- offer new perspectives on the medieval past and its modern interpretation in three different regions of the world using different sources: feathers, forgeries, and poetics. This is an opportunity to hear these scholars reflect on their work, the research process, and the broader questions they seek to answer.
