The Office of Online Programs is pleased to announce a new series featuring advanced doctoral student research in the College of Education. This Emerging Scholars Student Speaker Series, co-sponsored by the EPOL Graduate Student Advisory Committee, provides a venue for students to present their work and share advice and support to other students about the research process.
Our final talk of the semester is: Reflections of The Pushout Experience In No Excuses Charter Schools: A Critical Race Interview Study. Ruqayyah Perkins-Williams is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in the College of Education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research draws upon her experiences as a charter school educator and administrator and explores discipline policies within charter schools with a focus on No Excuses charter schools.
