You're invited to the Sustainable Design New Student Welcome! We'll meet in the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts (KCPA) lobby immediately after the Arts at Illinois New Student Welcome. See below for more details about the afternoon's activities. We can't wait to welcome you to the Sustainable Design community!
Join us as we kick off the academic year at the Sustainable Design New Student Welcome! Meet fellow students, faculty, and staff while exploring sustainability in action across the UIUC campus. This is a great opportunity to build connections, discover resources, and learn how to get involved in the Sustainable Design community.
During the event, you'll:
- Tour the Grind2Energy system at the Illinois Street Dining Hall and see how food scraps are converted into renewable energy.
- Visit the BSSD office and learn about the academic, professional, and community resources available to support your success.
- Connect with current Sustainable Design students and hear how they are making an impact through organizations, research, and campus initiatives!
