Residents will learn about the game Loteria and the history of where the game comes from, why it is played, and the cultural significance. Residents will then play the Loteria game that was crafted especially for and by the Inclusion and Leadership Mentors. The audience will learn about the Residential Inclusion and Leadership Education (I&L) team from pamphlets, handouts, and dialogue with the I&L Mentors. The audience will have an opportunity to be added to the I&L newsletter to receive information throughout the future about upcoming engagement opportunities. The audience will learn about relevant community & University resources regarding mental health, social justice exploration, and academic support. The audience will be encouraged to socially interact with each other to explore cross-cultural experiences for themselves both on and off campus.
