ISSS is excited to announce and host our very first edition of SquILL Game! Have you ever wanted to try your hand at throwing square paper ddakji or catching gonggi stones with one hand? Have you imagined the thrill of playing Red Light, Green Light led by an eery robotic voice?
Participants must register in teams of four people and will compete to win some enviable prizes by playing traditional Korean children's games based on the global hit Netflix show Squid Game. You can register here.
What’s Included: Goodie bag from HMart filled with yummy treats, and participation in all games for two full hours of EPIC fun! Plus, a chance to win some awesome prizes.
Each team must have four members to participate and there will be a registration fee of $20 per team. Included with registration, each team member will receive a specially curated goodie bag from HMart, participation in all games for an entire afternoon of fun, and a chance to win prizeworthy rewards! Prizes include $20 Latea gift cards, $30 Kung Fu Tea gift cards, $30 Kajiken + $20 Kyo Matcha/TE’AMO voucher bundle ($50 value), and a pair of tickets to see any Krannert performance of your choice. Note: Each member of a winning team will receive an individual prize of the same value/merchant.
Please note that all activities will be held in a safe environment and no violence will be used in conducting this event. That being said, participants must acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of physical gameplay. Waiver forms will be provided and must be signed before you participate in the games.
The deadline to register is April 4 at 11:59pm CST. If you have submitted your registration but need to add or replace anyone on your team roster, please do so by sending an email to opark3@illinois.edu by this date.
