Abstract: In this talk I will discuss the future prospects for observing distant supernovae. I will focus on the expected advances in Type Ia supernova cosmology enabled by the Time Domain Extragalactic Survey (TiDES) which will use the 4MOST instrument to obtain spectra tens of thousands of supernovae and host galaxies. I will also give an update on the ESA Euclid mission following its launch in July, and will describe prospects for supernova science with Euclid.
