Save the date! iSEE's Critical Conversation, "Balancing the Intended and Unintended Effects of Managing Pests," will kick off March 5 in Chicago with a talk by Scott McArt, Associate Professor of Pollinator Health at Cornell University. McArt helps run the Dyce Lab for honey bee studies and the Cornell Chemical Ecology Core Facility. His research focuses on understanding how pesticides, pathogens, and habitat impact the health of honey bees and native wild pollinators.
McArt's talk at the University of Illinois Chicago is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Orange and Blue Rooms of the Illini Center, 200 S. Wacker Drive, Chicago. The event begins at 5 p.m. with opening remarks by German Bollero, Dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences (ACES) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. This event will be free and open to the public.
