iSEE’s Illini Lights Out (ILO) program demonstrates the immense energy-saving impact of simply turning off the lights when you leave a classroom, lab, or study space. On select Friday nights each semester, ILO volunteers fan out to record how many lights are left on in buildings across campus and turn off as many as they can for the weekend! Join us to save energy, cut utility costs, and avert greenhouse gas emissions!
ILO events start at 5 p.m. Fridays in the lobby of the Literatures, Cultures & Linguistics Building, 707 S. Mathews Ave., Urbana. Volunteering takes about an hour and a half, and afterward you can get a free snack!
