To combat the pressing issue of fast fashion, the Institute for Sustainability, Energy, and Environment (iSEE), Students for Environmental Concerns (SECS), and the Student Sustainability Leadership Council (SSLC) host a bi-annual Clothing Swap. At a Clothing Swap, people donate gently used clothes that they no longer want in exchange for new clothes that others have donated. This is a sustainable way to get some new pieces for your wardrobe FOR FREE! This event will take place during Green Quad Day, so if you stop by, you can also engage with other environmental RSOs on campus! So start clearing out your closets and come get some cute new clothes!
In the case of rain, the event will move indoors to the Illini Union.
DONATION DAYS: Clothes can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 16-17, at the Channing Murray Foundation. As with past clothing swap events, anyone can drop off clothes and/or take clothes.
