This session covers the Implicit Bias requirement for licensure in the state of Illinois

Biases are simply a tendency for or against something or someone, and we all have them. But how do our biases shape the subtle ways we interact with others? If some biases can be unconscious, how are we supposed to do anything about them? Join Ross Wantland from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for an interactive conversation on the impact of biases in our work and lives – and what we can do about them. This session will move beyond the biases we all hold to examine strategies to minimize bias and increase fair-minded processes.
