Enjoy growing plants, tasting new food and exploring nature? If so, check out our summer “Get Growing & Going with 4-H” program for youth! We will meet in person four times from July 13 – August 11 in various outdoor locations in Will County. Youth will have the opportunity to learn about and grow their own edible plants, design a food garden, learn about nutrition and get to explore the outdoors through fun activities and challenges.
Youth will complete a variety of hands-on activities that may include creating a newspaper pot with mystery seeds, creating a mini-raised bed garden with seeds and plants, growing plants from plants, sampling veggies, using garden journals, going on a scavenger hunt and playing fun games.
