The humanities have a lot to offer. Humanists have a lot to learn.
That’s why Humanities Without Walls has designed the Summer Bridge program, in which PhD students in the humanities at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will use their strengths to make an impact while learning new skills and exploring new career paths. Each student selected will be expected to work approximately 20 hours per week for 8 weeks in summer 2023 and will earn up to $6,800.
During this information session, 2023 Summer Bridge participants Priyanka Zylstra (History) and Omar Agustin Hernandez (Anthropology) will be sharing their experiences working with community partners like the Education Justice Project and Strides Shelter: City of Champaign Township.
