Please join us for an overview of what it means for an online course to be certified as part of the LAS Online program. We will explain what certification entails and its advantages for students, instructors, and departments. We will review the certification standards (i.e., “required checkpoints” including online pedagogy, media, copyright, accessibility, and content quality), what an instructor can do to attain certified status for their course(s), and also how instructors can meet the student identity verification policy. Please bring your curiosity and any questions you may have.
Audience: LAS faculty members and graduate teaching assistants who teach online as well as staff members who assist with the development of online courses.
