Recognizing and reducing implicit biases is key to decreasing healthcare disparities and promoting equitable care within our communities. Through this interactive workshop at Jump Simulation Center in Urbana on Friday, November 12, 2021, you will discuss how implicit bias impacts healthcare, learn tools to help identify and reduce personal biases, learn how to communicate with others about addressing their biases, and share reflections and personal stories. The workshop will also offer simulation activities to reinforce these tools so you can apply them immediately in your own healthcare work setting.

This workshop is presented by Jump Simulation Center at the University of Illinois and Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois. Recognizing and reducing implicit biases is key to decreasing healthcare disparities and promoting equitable care within our communities. Your participation is valuable so we can gain insights on how to improve this workshop before offering it to a larger interdisciplinary audience.
