Climate change. Political polarization. A global pandemic. In these tumultuous and unrelenting times, it can feel like there is no end in sight to the chaos and pain of the present. How could we come together across our diverse religious, spiritual, and secular perspectives to restore our hope? Join us for the 12th annual Illinois Interfaith Conference on Friday, February 25th and Saturday, February 26th, exploring issues of faith, justice, and our responsibility to one another.

The Illinois Interfaith Conference is a FREE opportunity for University of Illinois students and campus allies- as well as student leaders and professionals from across the Midwest- to join together to engage in critical questions about interfaith engagement on the college campus.

Reverend Jennifer Bailey, founder of Faith Matters Network and author of To My Beloveds: Letters on Faith, Race, Loss and Radical Hope, will offer a keynote and workshop on radical hope and collective care. Saturday afternoon will include local leaders in interfaith cooperation and social change, as well as a session on implementing interfaith inclusion on campus.

All people of religious and non-religious philosophical traditions are welcome! The Illinois Interfaith Conference is co-sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Interfaith in Action, Diversity & Social Justice Education, Illini Hillel, Student Success and Engagement, University Housing, and the University YMCA.

If you will need disability-related accommodations in order to participate, please email Linden Reid at diversity@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your access needs.
