Dr. Andy Borst serves as the director of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, he has worked in academic affairs and student affairs at a diverse array of campuses, including a small liberal arts college, a branch campus, a mid-sized regional public university and two different flagship universities. He earned his MBA in 2003 and his Ph.D. in 2011. He teaches research methodology and economics courses and writes about ethical admissions practices. Borst serves multiple regional professional organizations including the Illinois Association of College Admissions Counseling where he is currently co-chair of the Admissions Practices committee.
