Title: “High Spatial Resolution Ex-vivo Brain Imaging at 7T: A New Method For Informing Pathology Studies of Neurodegeneration.”
Dr. Lowe will discuss the ongoing program being developed at the Cleveland Clinic using ultra high field MRI to perform a very high spatial resolution imaging of ex-vivo brains. The brains are collected as part of a multi-faceted brain donation program of neurodegenerative diseases that includes multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease. The high-resolution imaging is used to inform postmortem pathology studies via neuroradiology/neuropathology consensus conferences. Initial experiences will be described.
