UICOMP OB/GYN Grand Rounds presents" “The Management of Endometriomas in Reproductive Medicine.” The management of endometriomas, which are cysts formed from endometrial tissue on the ovaries, typically involves a combination of approaches depending on the severity of symptoms, size of the cysts, and the patient’s reproductive plans. A comprehensive strategy that balances symptom relief, fertility considerations, and individual patient circumstances are important. In this presentation we will discuss the different strategies that allow to individualize the care of patients with an emphasis on Fertility Preservation.
To be presented by Dr. Ricardo Loret de Mola, Professor and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Dr. Loret de Mola is the Gynecologist-in-Chief and Medical Director at HSHS St. John’s Hospital Women’s Health Programs in Springfield, IL. His clinical and research interests are in the care of couples with infertility, and women with Endometriosis.
