"Marijuana and Newborns - Health, Testing, and Support" will discuss the health effects, prevalence of use, and support for families in central Illinois. To be presented by Shelly Stone Shallat, MD, FAAP, CLS.
OBJECTIVES:
- Describe the health effects of maternal marijuana intake during pregnancy on newborns
- Discuss indications for testing and reporting newborns for substance exposure
- Identify local partners and resources to support families in relation to marijuana use
