“Chronic placental inflammation: investigations into pathogenesis” will review chronic placental inflammatory lesions and discuss their clinical associations. Studies examining the etiology of chronic placental inflammation will be reviewed.
Objectives
1. List the clinical associations with chronic placental inflammation.
2. Describe the current hypotheses regarding the pathogenesis of chronic placental inflammation.
3. Describe how metagenomic shotgun sequencing can identify potential viral pathogens in chronic placental inflammation
