For the Fall 2024 professional development event, the Program in Professional Writing and Rhetoric Program welcome Jason Tham to present "Augmenting Writing and Communication: From Invention to Delivery (with AI)."
In this presentation, Tham will review design-centric concepts that can be useful for understanding the current state of autonomous and algorithmic writing that has captured the interest of rhetoric and writing studies teachers. Challenging assumptions about popular artificial intelligence technologies, this presentation calls attention to learner-centered approaches for instructional augmentation and redirects the focus of technology use toward desired learning objectives. Using design-thinking attributes, Tham will provide guidance for constructing a flexible heuristic that supports technical communication and writing pedagogy.
This meeting will be held via Zoom. Please click here to join.
