Summer 2026 Internships : First week of June–mid August 2026
These internships are part of the McMullan Arts Leadership Internship Initiative, a museum-wide effort to provide students encountering economic challenges the opportunity to gain experience, career awareness, networks, and skills that will position them to thrive as future art museum leaders. All positions are paid $17.50/hr.; most are open to all undergraduates, graduate students, or those who have recently graduated.
McMullan Family Foundation Summer Intensive: June 8-12, 2026
The McMullan Family Foundation Summer Intensive is a weeklong immersive program introducing undergraduate students to museum professions through workshops, behind-the-scenes tours, field trips, and networking events. Alumni of our Summer Intensive remain connected with the museum through free events and receive guidance from the museum’s Academic Engagement and Research staff on emerging professional opportunities at the Art Institute and beyond.
