Welcome Reception for the OAI Inaugural Arts+ Resident: Harmony Holiday

Please RSVP and join us in welcoming our first Office for Arts Integration Arts+ Resident, Harmony Holiday. We are excited to celebrate the beginning of her residency with us at the Siebel Center for Design on Sep 23, in the main lobby area, from 5 - 7:00 pm. Food and drinks will be served after an introduction from Dr. Irvin Hunt, the Acting Special Advisor to the Chancellor for Arts Integration. 

Holiday is an LA-based writer, dancer, filmmaker, and archivist. Her work explores jazz, celebrity, the female body, genocide, and displacement. She is the author of five poetry collections, including "Maafa," and creator of the 2026 multimodal REDCAT exhibition "Spectacular Brooding," which probes the public and private lives of black grief. Recipient of the 2026 Cy Twombly Award for Poetry, she is completing a new poetry collection, a documentary on Lonnie Holley, and a biography of Abbey Lincoln.
