Mika Natif (Assoc Prof Art History at George Washington University) will deliver a lecture on campus on Monday, April 27, on the subject of Hamida Begum, who was the mother of the Mughal emperor Akbar. Her lecture title is  “Seeing Sovereignty: Hamida Banu Begam's Portraits and Gendered Power.”
