Join us for a lecture by archaeologist Luis Muro, Curator and Negaunee Integrative Research Center Research Scientist in Anthropology at The Field Museum, as he explores the living legacies of Andean art and material culture prior to 1600.

Drawing on his research and curatorial work, Muro will reflect on how archaeological practice, museum collections, and contemporary scholarship shape our understanding of Andean histories. This talk expands on themes from the exhibition Fragmented Histories: Andean Art Before 1600, highlighting the ongoing cultural, social, and political resonances of ancient Andean artistic traditions.
