Originating Calendar: Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS); Join us for a screening of the award-winning film East Side Sushi, which features the story of a Latina mother aspiring to become a sushi chef while working in a Japanese restaurant and striving to overcome all odds as she pursues her dream. Paired with the screening, we will provide materials to engage in a sushi making activity for an afternoon that will provide food for thought on the intersections of culture and identity, and delight your tastebuds with a delicious culinary feast. Lunch is provided. Free and open to all.
