The Black Joy project and the Latin American Cities Collective, hosted at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign,  invite you to join this quilting workshop where African American and Chilean women will share their quilting traditions of liberation, love, and justice. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and create their own quilting pieces.

Participants will not need prior skills to create a quilt.

Some of the pieces we create in this workshop may be part of the Black Joy exhibition at the Spurlock Museum in Urbana.

Food will be provided.
