Join us for a presentation and discussion with María Teresa Pizarro, who left Chile during the Pinochet regime (1973-90) and have since used their experiences with state violence and displacement as the basis for their art and political organizing.

María Teresa Pizarro is a Chicago-based Chilean feminist activist. In the 1980s, María Teresa and other Chilean women formed a branch of MEMCh, an organization that was central to the anti-Pinochet feminist movement in Chile, and worked to challenge the regime from abroad.
