Manuela Dávila is a journalist, master and doctoral student in public policy at UFRGS. Presides over the Institute "What if it were you?" aimed at combating disinformation and hate networks. She was the youngest councilor in Porto Alegre, the most voted federal deputy in Brazil, and the most voted state deputy in 2014. She ran for vice-president of the country in 2018. In 2023, she chaired the Federal Government's working group aimed at confronting the hate speech and extremism. She is the author of four works: "Laura Revolution", "Why do we fight?" a book about love and freedom (also translated into Spanish), "What if it was you? Surviving hate networks and fake news" and "We are the words we use". She is also the organizer and author of the Collections "It was always about us: reports of gender-based political violence in Brazil", and "Network of Lies and hate: what if the target was you?"
