The Center for African Studies (CAS) is sponsoring its fifth Word Is Seed, A Celebration of International Voices through Poetry and Languages.

We are looking for individuals with an appreciation for this auspicious literary art and GOOD ORATORY skills to participate in reading their favorite poems in the original language in which the poem was written or in whatever language pleases the reader, for example: Wolof, Kiswahili, Twi, Yoruba, Lingala, Arabic, Farsi, French, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Russian, Chinese, etc…

If you are interested in participating in this event and you are a poet, a lover of reading/ performing poetry or a connoisseur of your language and the power of the word, please join us in this year’s program.
