2021 Dissertation Workshop: Research Redesign in the Covid Context
February 24-26, 2021


Indiana University East Asian Studies Center and University of Illinois Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies, with support from the U.S. Department of Education Title VI grant, are pleased to announce the jointly organized online Dissertation Workshop, Research redesign in the Covid Context, February 24-26, 2021. This workshop will bring together 12 doctoral students from a broad array of disciplines and working on a wide variety of materials and in various regions of Asia. Workshop participants will work closely with the following four faculty mentors:

  • Xinyuan Dai, Professor, Political Science, University of Illinois
  • Taylor Easum, Professor, History, Indiana State University
  • Jessica Li, Professor, Education Policy, Organization and Leadership, University of Illinois

This workshop will also include a special session on library research with Dr. Steve Witt and Dr. Shuyong Jiang of the International and Area Studies Library, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
