U.S. educators and Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellowship alumni Shayla Ewing (9-12 English and Drama Teacher, Pekin Community High School), Keisha Rembert (Assistant Professor of Teacher Preparation, National Louis University), and Corey Winchester (11th and 12th grade U.S. History and Sociology Teacher, Evanston Township High School) will speak about their experiences with systemic racism in the U.S. education system. Audience participation is encouraged. This event is part of the European Union Center's new Transatlantic Educators Lecture Series, a series of presentations by teachers for teachers. Presentations in the Transatlantic Educators Lecture Series explore education-related issues that are tied to a local and/or national context.
