Optical tweezer clock with an arrays of nuclear spins
The optical tweezers provide tremendous opportunities for creating a highly isolated and long coherence neutral atom array with the control of single-atom level. Furthermore, with the help of Rydberg interaction, we can provide highly programmable interaction within the tweezer array, which is the ideal platform for quantum computing.
In this talk, I will focus on a slightly different direction, which is the optical tweezer clock. At beginning, I will introduce the fundamental limitation of the state-of-art optical clock and what could we do with an array of tweezers. Then, I will introduce the tool box of the our alkali-earth tweezer array, which shared with the applications for quantum computing. I will show you how could we improve the performance of optical clock in a tweezer platform. Finally, I will give a brief introduction to our experiment setup.
