Abstract:
For over 10 years, the Education Justice Project (EJP) has been providing Higher Education opportunities to incarcerated individuals at the Danville Correctional Center. In past years, the inside members have grown increasingly invested in the Computer Science Workshops that are offered. This presentation will discuss what we do, our vision for the program, and what it is like to work with EJP.

Bio:
Michael Muneses is the current coordinator for the Computer Lab & Computer Workshops Programs with the Education Justice Project. Although currently working in a Chemical Testing Lab, his academic interests lay within Bioinformatics and Genomics. With EJP he hopes to expand access to different fields within, and related to, Computer Science.
