Abstract: In this talk I will discuss my transition from research to teaching at a high school and an early college while also pursuing freelance writing with outlets such as Scientific American, Physics World and New Scientist. I will point out similarities between the two, comment on time management and freelance work and offer practical tips for engaging in either.
