Born in McHenry County and raised in Woodstock, Illinois, Toni is a 1984 graduate of the University of Illinois, securing a BS in General Engineering and a minor in Marketing during her time on campus.
Bestowed with a love of learning from her parents, she excelled in school throughout her early years and dove into campus life with a similar passion. Football games, concerts, outings with friends and years of theatre work with the Illini Union Board balanced the rigors of engineering classes.
By 1992, she earned a MBA with a focus in Marketing after four years of night classes. Business trips offered ample opportunities to complete classwork in the days before laptop computers and the internet.
Upon graduation, Toni built a vibrant career through a series of sales, sales support and marketing roles across a variety of organizations, with a focus on electrical, network and medical equipment firms. She’s worked for the Fluke family of companies, now owned by Danaher Corporation, for over 20 years, and with several MedTech firms including Cardiac Science Corporation, Mortara Instruments and Physio Control / Stryker Corporation. Her career culminated at Verasonics in Kirkland, WA, with her promotion to Director of Product Marketing and Communications.
Life outside of college included the thoughtful balance of building a career and building a life – marriages, supporting family and friends, local and international travel, and remaining active in theatre, to volunteer work in organizations focused on strengthening families and increasing learning opportunities for children.
Over the years, Toni also ran a small business in Illinois’ northwest suburbs for several years, has been an independent contractor, and mastered relocations to the Seattle area, to Milwaukee and back to Seattle.
Toni looks forward to joining the ISE EIR program in October and meeting with students and staff. Go ILLINI!
