Fergus will be returning to Beckman on Monday, May 4th from 10:30-11:15am in the Atrium. We hope you can stop in to meet him and see him demonstrate his scent work skills!
Fergus is a 7 year old male Border Terrier. He has been certified as a therapy dog with the Alliance for Therapy Dogs since 2023. He has enjoyed being a reading assistance dog at the Urbana Neighborhood Connections Center many times, and has brought his friendly spirit to the Champaign Public Library, the Urbana Free Library, the Autumn Fields Assisted Living facility, Carle Foundation Hospital, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Urbana-Champaign. He is looking forward eagerly to more visits at the Beckman Institute.
In addition to therapy dog activities, Fergus trains and trials in the sport of canine scent work.
Fergus will be at the Beckman Institute on Monday, June 1st from 10:30-11:15am and Monday, July 6th from 10:30-11:15am.
