Please join the Mayo Clinic & Illinois Alliance for Technology-Based Healthcare and Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute (IHSI) on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 3-5 p.m., to celebrate the Illinois students who participated in the 2025 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) and Health Equity Research Experience (HERE) at Mayo Clinic. The poster session will be held in the Beckman Institute Atrium, followed by the celebration in Room 1005. Light refreshments will be served.
For 10 weeks this summer, these outstanding undergraduates joined the research and culture of a major medical center, working with world-class Mayo Clinic faculty on small research projects or as part of ongoing investigations. The students tested their inclinations towards careers in research through clinical and community immersion experiences.
During the poster session, you will have the opportunity to meet these student researchers, learn more about their projects, and hear about how this unique experience has influenced their career aspirations. Following the poster session, we will recognize each student and their work and contributions over the summer.
