Celebrate Pi Day a little early with Research Park on Friday, March 12, 2021 by picking up a piece of a pizza and a slice of pie between 12-1pm in the atrium of the EnterpriseWorks Building. Since we can’t network in person just yet, show us your pieces of “pi” on social media with the hashtag #UIRPpiday.

Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant (the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter) which is approximately 3.14159. This is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and to eat pie.

To ensure that we have enough food for everyone, RSVP is required by emailing Cathy McArthur at mcarthur@illinios.edu by 6pm on March 10.

Please wear masks and maintain social distancing while waiting for your order (one order per person, please). Then you may enjoy lunch back at your home or office.

If you have questions, or need accommodations for this event, please email Cathy McArthur at mcarthur@illinios.edu.
