Illinois Ignite is a biennial event showcasing technologies and start-ups emerging from prominent research universities in Illinois.
Due to much uncertainty around how we will regain some normalcy in the coming months, the organizers of IL Ignite have decided to move our 2020 event online.

Join us at the VIRTUAL 2020 Illinois Ignite event, featuring technologies and start-ups from Northwestern University, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, University of Chicago, University of Illinois -Chicago, and Illinois Institute of Technology. Hear from innovators and entrepreneurs in healthcare, IT and advanced hardware. Speaker tracks include:
- Life Sciences: Synthetic Biology; Oncology; Rare Disease & Autoimmunity; and Novel Therapeutic Modalities
- Physical Sciences: Advanced Materials & Manufacturing; All Things Data; Computer Architecture, Network & Software; and AI, Robotics and Autonomy.
On September 24, 2020, Ignite will kick off its virtual event with a welcome and keynote speaker. This year’s new format will allow for you to hear from innovators and entrepreneurs in healthcare, IT and advanced hardware at your own pace and without limit. Registrants will have access for two weeks to pre-recorded videos of our featured presenters-- more than 35 faculty and start-ups discussing their breakthrough research and innovations. In addition, the event organizers will coordinate partnering meetings, based on expressed interest.
