Join the Digital Forensics User Group on Friday, April 16 from 12-1PM. Our special guest this month is Rob Attoe, principal of Spyder Forensics and a long-time instructor of the IACIS advanced Windows forensics class. Rob will be giving us an overview of UAV (Drone) forensics. UAV is the fastest-growing segment of aviation and digital forensics examiners need to understand how drones are used and how useful data can be extracted from the devices and controllers.
East Central Illinois has quietly become a focal point for the art, science and occasional black magic of digital forensics - the analysis of digital data for investigative purposes. Between law enforcement, private investigators, University faculty, staff and students, there is now a diverse group of people with skills and experience in the field. This user group is an opportunity to get to know each other better, to learn about new technologies, and (to the extent allowed!) share what we've learned.
