COMSOL Day: Automotive

See what is possible with multiphysics simulation

Modeling and simulation have become essential tools in the automotive industry’s fundamental shift toward electrification because they improve the understanding, design, and optimization of existing and new electric vehicle technology. Leveraging modeling and simulation has led to greater efficiency in the development of batteries, the fulcrum of the electrification trend. It is also used to develop other technologies, such as brakes that are able to handle new drivetrains and harvest energy, high-quality sound systems, more efficient electric motors, and sensors and antennas, to name just a few.

COMSOL Multiphysics® provides superior methods for modeling the multiphysics phenomena that are inherent to the majority of electric vehicle component development. It also allows access to simulation to be extended to more engineers and technicians than usually work with the modeling and simulation of these electric vehicle components. Using the software's functionality for creating custom simulation apps for specific functions, design departments, labs, and even technicians on the manufacturing level can run their own simulations and make their own decisions. These simulation apps can also be shared with OEMs and suppliers, so they can work on the same designs as the organizations they serve.

At COMSOL Day: Automotive, you will hear from COMSOL developers and applications engineers about the opportunities that multiphysics simulation brings to the automotive industry. Keynote speakers will talk about their experiences using COMSOL Multiphysics® and share impressions from their practice.
