Overview

Engineers who work on autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) often run into challenges with:

• Designing and evaluating different navigation algorithms in real-world scenarios
• Testing early and often on target hardware to estimate unmodelled characteristics.

In this talk, we will address these and other common challenges by showing how MATLAB and Simulink can help to implement an integrated AMR design workflow.

• generating occupancy maps and simulation environment from images
• leveraging out-of-the-box tools to rapidly prototype navigation algorithms
• integrating external simulators by utilizing a ROS interface
