1.0 CEs for LCSW/LSW and LCPC/LPCHow has segregation shaped the communities and neighborhoods of Illinois? Drawing on Chicago’s history and present-day patterns of residential segregation, this session explores how race, place, policies, and perceptions have shaped where people live and how communities understand one another. Through research and community stories from Don’t Go: Stories of Segregation and How to Disrupt It, participants will examine the forces that sustain segregation and consider what Chicago’s experiences can teach us about disrupting divisions, building connections across communities, and creating a stronger sense of belonging.
