The Monday Forum theme, “AI & Science: From Geospatial to Convergence,” highlights the transformative role of AI, data science, and cyberinfrastructure in advancing scientific discovery and societal impact. The Monday sessions provide an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills, explore emerging research directions, and connect with a vibrant interdisciplinary community.

Workshops will cover topics including cyberGIS, geospatial data science, spatial AI, convergence research and education, and the I-GUIDE Platform. These sessions are particularly valuable for students and early-career researchers. As I-GUIDE's home campus, we hope to see strong participation from the UIUC community.

The I-GUIDE Forum (August 3–5) is co-located with the NSF Harnessing the Data Revolution (HDR) Ecosystem Conference (August 5-7).

If you are interested in participating in additional conference activities beyond the workshops and tutorials, please let Anand and Diana know when you reach out, and they will be glad to discuss available options. Additional information and the full program are available on the I-GUIDE Forum 2026 website.

We are pleased to offer complimentary workshop registration to Illinois students, faculty, and staff. If you or your students are interested in attending, please contact Anand Padmanabhan (apadmana@illinois.edu) and Diana Sinton (dsinton@ucgis.org), who will be happy to provide registration information and assistance.
